TAKE A SPIN IN THE WILD... Clayoquot Jet Adventures front loading jet boat skims along 10 cm of water at speeds reaching up to 80 km an hour, spinning 360 degrees on the spot while exploring Clayoquot Sound. Explore past thick mountains of rainforests, past rocky shoreline cliffs, under the watchful eye of the local wildlife. The jet boat environmental friendly engines are operated by a local interpretive tour guide providing some back-ground education about the area and its environmental history. Heated hand rails provide warmth, nature provides the smiles and all the fun.

Jet Technology: Different from a conventional outboard, the jet unit utilizes an internal impeller to provide propulsion. Water is drawn in through an inlet in the bottom of the boat and driven out through a nozzle at the rear with great force. Turning is accomplished by moving the nozzle laterally, braking and reverse are achieved by using a deflector similar to the reverse thrust bucket on a jet aircraft.
